Dean Lumber & Supply Company is a local Southern Maryland based lumber and building materials supply company based in St. Mary’s County which provides builders, remodelers, contractors, homeowners and do-it-yourselfers more than just lumber. Our 15,000 square foot showroom in Hollywood, Maryland displays exterior and interior windows; doors and patio doors; vinyl, wood and fiber cement siding; asphalt roofing shingles; hardwood stairs and railings; columns and exterior railings; kitchen and bathrooms; garage doors and openers; insulation; gas fireplaces and custom mantles.

All products displayed are available to be installed by our employees or by a network of professional contractors.

About Us

Mr. Mervell M. Dean began operations by supplying sawed logs to commercial projects in Southern MD’s St. Mary’s County area in the late 1920s. Since Mr. Dean himself built many commercial buildings and eventually single family homes, this created the need for a better supply of materials in Southern Maryland. In 1933, Dean Lumber & Supply Company, Inc. began supplying building materials to the contractor trade in and around St. Mary’s County. Mr. Frank Dean soon joined the business and operated it for over fifty years. Dean’s built a new 24,000 square foot professional and retail facility. It now contains our custom woodwork and fabrication center. This is where we custom design and build cabinets, countertops, bars, libraries, entertainment centers, mouldings and more. Our custom work has been featured in many spectacular homes in the Annapolis, DC and Virginia areas including the Vice President’s home.
